With the development of information technologies and world wide web, semantic retrieval has become a new focus of the domain of information retrieval. The key step of semantic retrieval is the concept space, witch is the knowledgebase of semantic retrieval. Concept spaces studies on the meaning of concept, and contains concepts and relations between these concepts. It relates to many domains, such as the natural language technology, computational linguistics, and so on. Concept space has been applied in knowledge management, knowledge expression and organization. This thesis begins with the definition, functions of concept space tells its application in IR and other domains. Then analyses and compares some kinds of concept structure, such as controlled vocabulary and Ontology. Author focuses on the structure of Ontology, designs a model of concept structure and semantic retrieval system based on it. At the end of this thesis, author implements the key part of semantic analysis. |
