Dsp-based Voice Secure Communication System Design

Secure communication is to communicate by the encryted information in order to make the information unseen by the third party. Secure communication is one of the most important ways to keep the safety of communication, and Encrytion is used widely in secure communication. Digital Signal Processor(DSP) is a microprocessor that is very suitable for the digital signal processing. So it is more efficent to achieve the encrpytion of communication by DSP.In order to keep the security of communication, a secure speech communication system based on TMS320VC5410 is proposed in this paper, and the architecture design of hardware and software is presented. A chaotic speech encryption algorithm combining cat map and Logistic map is implemented on the system. The experiment in a short distance is conducted and the results are fairly good. With improvements this system can be used for long-distance communication by modems on the telephone system.
