Currently the measurement and correction of aberration is a focus points in the field of ophthalmology. The examination of wave-front aberration is a main method that is used to observe optical system of the human eye.The object of the paper is wavefront aberrometer produced by nanjing university of aeronautics and astronautics and Su Zhou 66 Vision-Tech Co., Ltd. The principle of aberrometer are detailedly introduced, image processing and automatic track techniques are also researched. According to research result, relevant control software has been developedIn this paper, the conceptions of aberration are firstly described, synchronously, image processing and automatic track system are analyzed. Secondly, preliminary design of the system has been done, and every module has been designed. It also investigated the key techniques of the system, including image processing and serial port communication techniques. That lead to the realization of the image processing and automatic track system.The development of image processing and automatically track system has resolved some import problems that lie in aberrometer and improved the capability of aberrometer. It has been applied to the aberrometer model WFA-1000. During clinic practices, it has achieved satisfied outcomes.
