The FEM software package SHEET-FORMING is a punch-forming FEM analysis software package running on the SGI/UNIX graphic workstation, mostly including the pre-processor module, the post-processor module and the solving module. In this paper, with the help of the idea of software engineering, the object-oriented developing technique, structured software development method, the inter-process communications in WINDOWS and the FORTRAN/C++ mixed programming technique, the Windows version of the pre-processor and the post-processor module are developed: The pre-process module is parted as four function modules. The part of graphic display codes of the pre-processor and the post-processor module are translated and modified as background processes. The interactive graphic interface in Windows style is designed as foreground processes. With the help of the proxy program designed in this paper, the communication between the GUI program and the background program is realized. After its testing running: The transplant of SHEET-FOMRING from SGI/UNIX to PC/WINDOWS is basically successful, and the design of the framework of software transplant is reasonable. From the postulate of the Stretch-forming, with the help of SHEET-FORMING software, the computer simulation of the Stretch-forming of a S-shape aircraft skin is proposed in this paper, including the build of FEM mode, the preferences of simulation, the forming, the whole body spring back and the spring back after clipping. The spring back radius is calculated on the simulate results and contrasted with the reality. All these will pose great significance to production in theory and in reality.
