However, the current Image (Video) Transmission System requires special transmitting networks. This paper probes into a new method to transmit images by using the most widely existent 220V low-voltage power distribution networks as the transmission medium. As the creative point of this paper, using low-voltage power lines as medium for image transmission is an effectual supplement of primary media. This paper introduces present application status of some media for image(Video) transmission and puts forward the idea of the Image (Video) Transmission System based on transmitting over low-voltage power distribution networks, which doesn't require special transmitting networks.A system scheme of Digital Image Collection plus Spread Spectrum Communication (abbreviated as SSC) is presented in this paper after a full analysis of noise characteristics, attenuating characteristics and impedance characteristics of low-voltage power lines. SSC technology is introduced in order to overcome problems existing in signal transmitting over power lines. High quality CMOS digital image sensor and JPEG compression technology are used to complete digital image collection and compression in the meantime. The system includes transmitter and receiver. Images from the transmitter are transmitted over low-voltage power distribution networks and received by the receiver. Finally, related products are selected to carry out hardware and software design of this system. The experimental system is tested to transmit images in this project. The testing results show that compressed digital images transmitted over low-voltage power lines maintain good quality which has high clarity and naturalness within a certain distant. Experimental results demonstrate that the scheme is reasonable and this system can be used for surveillance and image transmission. This systemrequires to improving: (1) the ability to counter the severe communication condition and (2) the ability to transmit video by enhancing the transmission speed and the compression ratio. The researches of this system make it possible to launch projects on following topics: the multimedia system and the internal telephone system based on the transmitting over low-voltage power distribution networks. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Power Carrier, Image Transmission, Spread Spectrum Communication Technology, JPEG Compression | | Related items |
