| This paper introduces the Integration of the Heterogeneous Data Source and data transformation and conversion. Three kinds of methods of heterogeneous data conversion are analysed and compared in detail. Two kinds of methods among them -- data conversion based on ODBC and based on OLE DB are realized and applied in the data conversion product of heterogeneous data source -- DataConverter1.0 and 2.0 versions I have researched and developed during my postgraduate. They have been successfully applied to the project of National Emphasis Lab --"The Gas Reservoir Management System" and the National 863 Project "DBMS Project Research". DataConverter has better reliability, usability, flexibility, scalability and error-handled ability during the process of data conversion. |
