Entering the 21st century, the competition of science and technology is greatly intensified. The requirement standard of test system is ever-increasing. For its particularity, the entire test of ATC depends on the special-purpose test instruments at past time. The test process is complex, low efficiency and the different test instruments are incompatible. As the capability of maintenance becomes more and more important, special-purpose test instruments are out of date. The research of high-performance test system for total parameters is urgent. VXI ATC integrated test system bases on VXIbus platform which has outstanding characteristics such as high speed, high precision and reliability, flexible configuration and widely compatible. So the development of it can largely improve the test level of ATC.The key point of this dissertation is on the software design of VXI ATC integrated test system. It includes the design of software structure and flow, the explicit definition and measurement methods of the parameters need to test, the data process of result, and the failure diagnosis. Main contribution of this dissertation can be concluded as following:* The principle, which the software design should be obeyed has been brought forward and the main structure of software is marked out.* Based on the test programs aiming at different devices, the basic methods for transmitter test, receiver test, system code test and interface test are concluded. According the methods, the field of the test system can be extended largely.* In order to measure the complex parameters such as sensitivity/dynamic range and band characteristics on the general instruments, the new measurement methods are presented. With the test in practice, these methods have proved correct and most useful.* The work of result displaying, saving/opening, printing has been completed. The optimization design of data structure of result is presented. To keep secret, the result is given as relative value.* The fault diagnosis program has been designed. It makes the test system have the ability of fault process.
