Server cluster is a set of autonomous servers connected by high performance networks, which can work co-operatively to process the more and more requests from client with the explosive increment of Internet. Due to its high availability, high scalability and excellent performance-price ratio, server cluster has become a hot point of modern server technology. As one of basic Internet services, E-mail service is wildly used, and it is trend to make use of server cluster to meet with rapidly development of E-mail system.This paper, based on analyzing the architecture of Linux virtual server cluster, presented a solution of double load balancer based on NAT for E-mail system; based on analyzing scheduling algorithms and the short of Linux virtual server cluster, presented a dynamic-feedback load with balancing scheduling algorithm and its implementation. There are five chapters in this paper. The first chapter is the background materials of the research. It expounded the research direction of server cluster and E-mail system. The second chapter discussed Linux cluster architecture, it analyses IP load balancing technology and schedule algorithm of Linux virtual server cluster and presents dynamic-feedback load with balancing scheduling algorithm. The third chapter presented a architecture of large-scale distributed hierarchical e-mail server with the solution of double load balancer based on NAT for E-mail system. The forth chapter presented how to construct a cluster E-mail system and supervisal tools of cluster based on web. In the last chapter, it gave a simple test case about the whole system and discussed some issues that should be considerate to improve the system.
