| VOMS (Virtual Operating Manager System ) is based on the cluster and partition technique , applying in the large partitionable servers , whose target is to make the system have high Availability and have high flexibility at the same time.Some main operations, such as banking, telecom, securities business, depended on the large servers. The traditional servers is lack of flexibility in the resource management. It will cost high on the resource configuring and the resource adjusting. The users hope the large servers can provide the continuous service, at the same time, the system can flexibly assign the resource, auto-recover the failure, auto-adjust the resource, so as to meet the quickly changing of the market environment and the operation when maintaining the main operation running. That is, the system has high availability and high flexibility.According to the above description needs, researched the design theory and implement method for VOMS. On the base, implement the VOMS, the main content as follows:1. Analyzed the needs of user for large servers, discussed the clusterand partition techniques. On the basis of these conditions , analyzed the necessity and the strongpoint of the combined use the cluster and partition techniques.2. Discussed some main methods, such as: the partition assign plan,resource auto detect, partition resource auto adjust, periodic replace the back-up resource.3. Design and the implement the VOMS, and make it have highavailabilityand high flexibility.The implement of the VOMS, simplify the management of the large partitionable servers, raise the high availability of the large partitionable servers, raise the modify ability according to theIIemergency of the market and the operation , increase the utility rate of the system resource. In a word , VOMS make the large partitionable servers have the high availability and the high flexibility.Now, the VOMS has been plunged into use, gaining the users' s high appraisement. |
