Internet-based Project Document Storage Management System, Research And Practice

It's well known that the project documentations' storage and management have an very important effect on the development of all kinds of project, and as the information age is coming, Network technology has been applied to this procedure gradually.This article mainly introduces the study and realization of a internet-based project documentation storage and management system which application programming frame is built with Delphi6.0 and SQL Server2000. Based on the TCP/IP protocol, the system try to establish a C/S model with connection-oriented, dependable Stream Sockets and multithread technology to complete some especial data communications by networks, such as the files of project, directory of user, all self-defined commands or messages and their parameters, and so on. At the same time, the thesis also explains the theory of role control, and applies this popular method in the world to design and realize the system's user management and access authorization. Moreover, this thesis brings forward a concept: Virtual Files Closet, made by the system automatically according to the architecture of departments or users, and locates on the application server. Just with it, the user management of system has connected with documentation management of project, that would strengthen the cooperation of the project' members and bring more convenience to project manager for management as a whole.Additionally, this thesis gives a documentation prescription, which includes the file's classification prescription, name prescription and programming code prescription.
