Spatial Data Organization And Management Of Research And Application

The organization and management of spatial data is the most important portion of the spatial information infrastructure (SII), and the SII is the foundation of the spatial digital project, such as "Digital City" . The research of the organization and management of spatial data has great value.At present, some research has been developed in the organization and management of spatial data, but most of the research is only focused on some partial technology difficulties, and few can provide a whole solution, some still stays on the theory level. This paper is based on the actual development of SeiGIS by the author. The research of the organization and management of the spatial dada is founded on the essential and characters of spatial data.The method of the research is established on the accurate understanding of spatial data, directed by actual application and uses the corresponding technologies to present a practical technology route. Therefore, the paper is divided into three parts. Beginning with the relationship of spatial data and spatial world, the first part gives a detail analysis of the essential of spatial data and advances the related definitions. Then treating the 2D vector spatial data as the research object, the second part puts forward a whole solution of the organization and management of spatial data, including indexing, disk store, memory management, data scheduler, data transmission and the interface to query and analysis. Besides, the author gives his algorithms and realization on the index, the scheduler of data and the strategy of data transmission. At last, the paper presents an application of the theory.Using the solution of the paper, the author developed the SeiGIS, a 2D CIS platform, and has got good effect. The paper is helpful to the development and establishment of middle or tiny CIS platform.
