Audio Digital Watermark Algorithm

Audio digital watermarking technique has become one of the research hotspots in recent years. With such techniques we can embed secret information into audio files, so as to get 'copyright protection' and 'cover communication' etc.. At first, this paper gives a brief history of digital watermarking research and describes some basic items about information hiding and digital watermarking. Then it focuses on the principles of those audio digital watermarking techniques presented recently and gives a review. According to those, it presents an DCT based audio digital watermarking method. The method takes advantage of salient points extraction. A blind watermarking detection technique is developed to resolve the synchronization problem. Experiment results show that the proposed algorithm is robust to some audio processing operations and malicious attacks. Furthermore, we improve the method based on the property of data hiding by exploiting BCH code and synchronization signal. Experimental results show the improved method is better for data hiding. Finally, the paper shows the further research direction in audio digital watermarking.
