With the continuous increasing on the capability of high-performance parallel computer, how to use advanced development method and friendly development Environment to take full advantage of high-performance of computer is one of the prominent problems to high-performance computer. This paper addresses the design and implementation of a parallel object-oriented visualizing environment (POVPE) based on parallel C++ language. POVPE makes advanced development method (objected-orient) be unified seamless with friendly development environment (graphic-interactive) .This paper discusses the design of POVPE from the view of engineering. We use object-oriented method to describe and design the requirement, frame and subsystem. In this way, we make great effort to design a system which has good architecture and extensibility. The aims of the research are listed as following: (1) analysis and design of the architecture of POVPE, (2) data integration and share in POVPE, (3) control integration in POVPE.The introduction part of the paper gives some concepts on object-oriented and visualization. Then the paper presents in detail onobject-oriented analyse and design methods and its model language-UML. The third part gives overall introduction on POVPE. The fourth part of the paper gives detailed discussion on the total architecture of the system. It mainly contains the partition of the system, the interface definition between the subsystem, overall control and data control of the system. After the overall partition of the system, the final part of the paper shows the inner design of two typical subsystems.
