This thesis constructs a mathematical model of Automatic Guided Vehicle System (AGVS) and introduces the analysis, design and implementation of a simulation software system of AGVS using object-oriented methods.Bases on theories about directed graph and colored timed Petri net, a mathematical model of AGVS is developed at first. The directed graph model of AGVS is used to give a mathematical tool for the research of dispatching methods and routing algorithms of AGVs; the colored tempo-Petri Net system model of AGVS is mainly used to describe the concurrency of AGVS and the conflict of AGVs.The analysis of the simulation software system of AGVS begins with an understanding of the manner in which the system will be used and aims to create some use case diagrams and interaction diagrams to compose the use case view of the system. The design of the simulation software system of AGVS transforms the use case view created in analysis phase into a design view that serves as a blueprint for software construction contains class diagrams and statechart diagrams using object-oriented design methods.Implementation of the simulation software system of AGVS translates UML design notations into code in Java. In thesis some important technologies used in programming as multithreads and visual modeling are also illustrated.
