Some concepts were illustrated in the chapter of Introduction of PMBOK, including The Definition of Project, The Definition of Project Management, The Characteristic of Project, The Literature of Project Management, The Responsibility of Project Manager, The Necessary Skills of Project Manager, The Mutual Impaction between Project Management and The environment.The main point of the chapter is to describe how to combine the knowledge of the PMBOK with software application, to improve the efficiency and the veracity of project management, and to improve the quality of project management.The project of China RailCom phase II is the place where we apply the knowledge of PMBOK and to learn the MS Project software. It's necessary to give a basic view of the project and the background related.The chapter of the Beginning of Project is to characterize the milestone of the project, the sign-up of the contract, indicting the beginning the project. The formal documentation of the contract will be hand-over from pre-sales to delivery team, some of the principal factors will be clarified, including the scope of the project, the stakeholders, etc. A project manager will be authorized internally, and then comes the implementation of the project.The chapter of project planning is to characterize the main planning sequence of the project: the scope planning-the scope definition-the action definition- the resource planning- the action sequence definition- the action duration- the cost evaluation- the schedule definition- the cost budget- the project planning. In order to deploy the entire project planning, the secondary planning is necessary: the quality planning, the communication planning, the organization planning, the risk planning, and the purchasing planning.The chapter of implementation the project is to characterize how to harmonize the organization and the resource, how to get to the final point of the project in the direction of the main plan with the quality plan, the communication plan, the risk plan, etc. And How to minimize the gap between the plan and the outcome is also described in this chapter.The project control and management will lose it's value if the implementation the project is totally in the direction the project plan. With the existence of all kinds of risks and variants, the project control and management has the importance in project deployment. A gyroidal circle is formed by the project planning, the implementation of the project and the project management. The final point of the project will be reached in the proper order. The range of the project control and management, the gist of the range of the project management, the tools and the outcome are also characterized in the project control chapter.The final step is the close of the project. In this step the project will get the outcome of the project deployment. And some of the wind-up works are necessary to close the project: the formal close-up, the documentation, and the experience sharing. These are addressed in the close-up chapter.
