Hgcdte Cooled Infrared Focal Plane Array Measurement Of Mtf

Infrared Focal Plane Array (IRFPA) is the key technology in developing second generation Infrared Thermal Imager. In the developed country, IRFPA has been studied for more than one decade. Great fund has been invested in this research and many achievements have been obtained. The development of IRFPA imposes requirements on the instrumentation to measure the parameters of the integrated FPA.MTF is the primary parameter used for system design, analysis, and specifications. The MTF of thermal imager is mainly decided by the MTF of its IRPFA. In this dissertation, the measurement system for determining the MTF of cooled 288X4 HgCdTe IRFPA is studied. It is very important to supply a gap of IRFPA measurement technology in our country. Also it is a significant work to design and produce of IRFPA, even for the evaluation of the entire infrared thermal image.The content of every chapter in this dissertation is summarized as following:In chapter 1, the developing history and application of IRFPA are introduced; the measurement of IRFPA MTF is described; the research intention and signification of this dissertation are expatiated.In chapter 2, firstly the physics concept of MTF and the measurement principle of IRFPA MTF are shown, the main measurement methods are described in detail; secondly the diffraction of the measurement system is analyzed from two aspects: target diffraction and crosstalk interfere; finally the algorithm method for eliminating statistical errors of MTF is discussed.In chapter 3, the measurement system details are described; the infrared optical system, the scanning machine, data acquisition and processing module, and the software for measuring and debugging are analyzed.In chapter 4, the result of system debugging is described and simply analyzed; a brief forecast of the testing results is given.In chapter 5, the whole work is summarized and some problems remaining to be solved are pointed out.
