This paper introduces the design of the Distributed Intelligent Fire Detection and Control System. This system is with a distributed structure of three-level: the bottom level consists of detector, the middle level is composed of local fire controller, and the top level is charged with supervisory host computer. The host computer, which is industry computer, mainly undertakes the management of the whole system. The controller, which is single-chip 8031 microcomputer, carries out the collection of fire signal and direct control. RS-232 is adopted between the communication of host computer and controller in short distance, and RS-485 is adopted in long distance. In the host computer applications, the idea of configuration software and real-time database are used in this paper, and the linkage logic used in fire integrative control is implemented in software method. In addition, no-polarity two bus based in Field-bus is used to transfer the data between controller and detector. The advanced intelligent algorithm is also designed for controller to process the data received from analog detector, through which the veracity of fire detection is greatly improved. Finally, the reliability and real-time character of this system are analyzed in this paper. The test results show that this system can meet the standard of our country.This system can be used in control center of large-scale fire protection equipments. However, the old system consisted of controller and detector can be put into this new system, if the program of their controller is upgraded.
