| The frescoes of Dunhuang is a precious heritage of the world. But Dunhuang is located in desert, the long-term invasion of sand blown by wind destroyed the murals, the treasure of the art is becoming more and more frail. How let more people enjoy the murals and how to preserve the art treasury is deserved to study. Based on the VR techniques and equipment, it is possible to preserve and exhibit the Dunhuang caves on Computer. This paper take the Dunhuang relic as the background, and study the techniques to obtain and exhibit digital relic. It realizes digital preserved relic and visual demonstration for relic, and gave scientific foundation and advanced means for cave archeology and relic preserve research. This paper is a summaiy of author's research in ZheJiang University. It first gives a through introduction of computer techniques, which can be used in relic preserving and exhibiting. Then it demonstrates the instrument, flow and key techniques of obtaining and exhibiting the dunhuang caves. Based on the former theory, the paper gives the real prototype system realization, include the system architecture, knowledge representation and some critical technologies. Author gives a whole resolvent for obtaining and exhibiting the dunhuang relic. This resolvent can resolve a series of problems in the relic recording, preserving and exhibiting process, and achieves favorable result. The photograph equipment for fresco, the fresco photograph rules, the fresco anaphase treating, and the shadow technique for IBR statue are new resolve brought forward by author based on the actual research work. The progeny of this paper includes: a set of photograph equipment and rules for digital fresco, the technique to render the shadow of IBR statue, and a virtual exhibition for dunhuang caves. These progenies can be used in the digital preserving and exhibiting of dunhuang antique, and they also can be used in other relics and beauty spot. |
