This thesis first introduces the principle of active power factor correction, and analyses the Boost converteræ¯ deficiency. The power stage topologies and application of soft-switching techniques in APFC are discussed in detail. The principle of operation, the theoretical analysis, design procedure. and experimental results from a laboratory prototype rated at 1.5Kw with 400VDC output voltage are presented. At last, application of Discrete-Time methods and symbolic analysis methods in PFC circuits are discussed. |
