BWF Format And Its Application

The BWF (Broadcast Wave Format) was put forward by Europe Broadcast Union at the first time and was used as a file format of broadcasting program. BWF basing on RIFF-WAVE can realize the seamless exchange of audio reference with different system and different file format among the Digital Audio Workstation, which could make the share and the exchange of audio reference among broadcasting stations convenient. In the light of Broad Wave Format (BWF) and the problem in application, the structure of BWF file was studied and the format conversion was realized in this paper. The application of BWF file in broadcasting field-national broadcasting transfer network was studied, therein, the problems of the database of audio reference, the search of audio information, the protection of copyright and electronic trade were discussed in detail. At the same time, the finther application of BWF file format and the involving the theory in it as well as some problems were also investigated, ? according to which BWF format could be expanded to further application range.
