With the continuous development of database technology and the comprehensive application of DBMS, the data is increasing rapidly in the databases. The flood of the data is avalanching towards the people. At present, the database system can only access the known data from databases, the information the people have got from these data is just a little part of information that the whole database included. The information plays a very important role in the process of decision-making. So, Knowledge Discovery in Databases emerges, as the times require.In this paper, a complete analysis and dissertation about KDD is put forward, and detailedly discuss an important technology of data mining-artificial neural network. An improved project is presented about BP algorithm and this project improves the learning speed of the neural network.
