An important parameter of industrial process is the output torque of machineries. It is used to predict the efficiency of the machine and to judge the occurrance of failure condition. In many circumstances such as rolling mills, ship screw propellers and digital-control machine tools in which the working condition is quite severe, it is recommended that the torque be measured through contactless way.In this paper ,utilizing magnetoelastic effect of ferromagnetic material, the mechanical structure and magnetic ioop of the sensor have been designed and constructed. Flail effect component is used to measure the change of magnetic field .A constant current source circuit and a signal amplificaiton and regulation circuit is designed to guarantee the normal functioning of the Hall component and the quality of output signal. A data acquisition software is written to acquire signal through ACL-8 111 DAQ Card on PC and display the torque of the shaft on industrial meter.In particular .in order to minimize the interfering effect of air gap variation, a constant flux control circuit has been deviced , and integrated with PC. current product compensation is realized which delivers a quite good result.The entire system has been given final test whose result shows that it has reached its design goal of non-contact measurement of the torque of rotating shaft with the extra advantage of rapid response, stability, accuracy? ruggedness. |
