Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR) is a new technique which develops rapidly from the 1 970s. The overseas technique of GPR is more advanced than that of domestic because they began the research in this field earlier than us. On the base of overseas advanced technique for reference, we have made great progress in the research of GPR. For example, Some sample GPR made in our country has been used in many fields. In this paper, the author analyses the hardware and software of GPR systematically. The emphasis of this paper is on the receiving system and sending system of the circuit. The paper can be divided into four main parts: 1~ Introduction. In this part, the history, present situation and future development of GPR are described. 2 ~. GPR principle analysis. In this part, the author deduced the principle used for GPR by the general principle of electromagnetic and radar equation. 3~ Analysis on the receiving system and sending system. Sampling and snowslide are described in detail in this part. 4~. Analysis on the elimination of interference signal. This is the disposal of the software. 5 ~. Analysis on antenna. The emphasis of this part is the loading technique of travelling wave antenna.
