Electrical field strength of a couple of TEA CO2, laser electrodes basedon Chang's profile is calculated with Charge Simulation Method, and thelocations with maximum departure from expected uniformity of thatfield arc found. A novel method of Linear Extension for designing the3D profile at the end of the electrode is Proposed. Using this method,new electrodes based on Chang's profile are designed for TEA CO2,lasers and a satisfying uniform field distribution on the 3D surface isachieved.
