The source of this "The design of distributed leaky-pipe array antenna"project is a certain low altitude three-dimentional surveillance radar. This radar is a mobile three-dimentional radar, highly flexibility、highly environmental acceptance and highly reliability is required, simultaneously, it has a phase-scanned system when it transmitting, forming a shaped beam(0~35degree) at elevation cut by phase weghting, it has a DBF(Digital Beam Forming) multi-beam forming system when it receiving. For the purpose of reducing noise jamming, the antenna should have a low sidelobe(-35dB) at the azimuth cut in the receiving beam. The purpose of this project is designing an antenna according with above-mentioned requirement, simultaneously, do some studying about expansibility, accumulate some engineering experience for the other distributed leaky-pipe array antenna research.The research of shis project relies on the developping process of a certain low altitude three-dimentional surveillance radar, depands on a mighty scientific research groups abundant designing instrument and technique store of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation No.38 Research Institute. On a basis of theoretical calculation,use electromagnetic simulation software to make artificial calculation, and then machining practicality for debugging and testing. Our institute now has many simulation softwares for example AnsoftHFSS、CST and etc.、a few decade vector network analyzers from USA、Deutschland and etc., for example Angilent、 Anitru、 Rohde&Schwarz and etc. We also have five indoor or outdoor test ranges, Among them there are three indoor test ranges,one is a hight precision、multi-function plane near-field measuring system(effective range:18m×12m), one is a simple plane near-field measuring system(effective range:8.8m×3.8m), one is a minitype indoor far-field rang; There are two outdoor test ranges:one is a ground test range and another is an overhead test range(also can be used as skew test range), There is a professional group of indoor test range testing research, outdoor test range testing technique is maturer, The testing condition is self-contained.All of them guarantee this project developing well.Basing on the above research means,the group developped asuit of distributed leaky-pipe array antenna fitting the certain low altitude three-dimentional surveillanceradar, satisfied every technical indexes,including beam shape、beam width、 sidelobe、antenna gain、polarization mode and etc. All this show that the theoretical deriver is right introducing in this article、the calculating result of the simulation softwares has a high reliability、the testing result in our test ranges is true and effective. This developing flow has a high maneuverability,can be great use for the other engineering design of leaky-pipe array antennas.
