Design And Practice Of APP Design For Smartphone

With the rapid development of Internet and the popularity of smart phone, APP,a product of the information era, has gradually went into our life and studies.In the meantime, the smartphone APP icon design has received more and more extensiveattention of designers. There is no doubt that start icon is the key of the designfor it represents all the APP. Recently,every kinds of APP appears more and moreBut at contemporary time which APP emerge in endlessly without system, manyquestions come out, as low recognition and weak meaning, and so on. These problemsalso directly affects the APP usage.In this paper, the visual design of a smartphone APP icon is regarded as the main part of the research.First ofall, systematized the concepts、 characteristic、classification and style ofthe APP icons, splash screen, toolbar icons. At the same time, excellent APP icondesign cases are discussed. Finally viewpoint about design principle will bereported based on the current mainstream of IOS APP icon. And make the examinationof the design principle and method by the design practice experience of SocialAPP ’Peach’,in order to provide effective support and reference for the studyof later related design and data collection.The main content of the thesis is divided into the following five parts:Chapter One, this paper expounds the importance and research value of APP ICONSin the entire application, meanwhile it introduces the research background of thispaper, the research object, research purpose, research significance, researchmethods and research, difficulty and innovation points, as an example for thenecessity and significance of research on the visual design of smart phone APPicon from several aspects.Chapter Two, introduces the rise and characteristics of the mobile terminal,analyzed the classification, advantages and disadvantages of the mobileterminal.Overview the concepts and development of the Smart Phone—carrier ofthe intelligent mobile phone.Meanwhile, this part researches the advantages anddisadvantages of mobile phone, to lay a good theoretical basis for behind writing. Chapter Three, introduced the concept and characteristics of icon, overview theconcept of the APP and the mainstream category analysis and design style of thesmart phone behind. At the same time, analysis of some great APP icon designcases is stated, which is a direct guidance to the back part of the design practice.Chapter Four, as a key part of the whole thesis, summarized the design principleand design method of smart phone APP icon on the base of theThe context theoryresearch. Classified the APP icon by the start of the APP icon and splashscreen, toolbar ICONS and guide the help icon in the APP icon design method,analyzed the different design method respectively. This has direct guidingsignificance for the next chapter of Peach icon design.Chapter Five,. As a design practice of the theory which proposed in the ChapterFour, this part aims to project a series of design about the start icon and splashscreen and toolbar ICONS on the social APP on a smart phone-Peach. At the sametime, in order to keep the high recognition of ICONS, have surveyed the audiencea questionnaire, according to which, to carry out the visual design of this socialAPP combined with the practice for icon.In general, this paper starting with the Visual Design of APP on the base ofthe questions in the APP ICON design, stating from the initial theory overview,outstanding case analysis, the summary of the design principle and methods, tothe final design practice,Introduced in discussion and application in thecombining of theory and practice.In the meantime, it provides a train of thoughtand method on the visual design of smart phone APP icon. Hope this research canprovide support and references for later related design information collectionand research.
