Enterprise portals, which is an important way of popularizing products of theenterprise and an important reflection of good operation of the enterprise, stands forthe overall image of a company. With the continuous upgrading of enterprise portals,traditional information management system cannot meet the need of the management,release and real-time updating of the increasing contents and the mass data on website.In order to solve problems like the disordered structure of data organization, indistincthierarchies, untimely content updating and so on, content management system ispromoted.The enterprise portals-oriented content management system extract contentsfrom the website and classified them for good keeping. Therefore, it is convenient forthe technicians to manage the website contents separately, and especially for thesolution of the editing and release of the specific contents on website, aiming atrecycling the contents. The enterprise portals-oriented content management systemsupports secondary development and it can satisfy the need of content management ofthe general enterprise portals.The paper expounds the development surrounding and research status home andabroad in detail, and analyzes the significance of applying content managementsystem in depth. The content management system designed in this paper makes adetailed analysis for systematic requirements from system role, system function,operation process, non-functionality and so on, according to the business requirementsof enterprise portals. With the help of theory and approach of software engineering,object-oriented development approach, JAVA programming language, eclipsedevelopment tool and MySQL database, on the basis of J2EE platform, MVCarchitecture and Freemaker template critical techniques, applying the contentmanagement idea of separation between front page display and background design, acomplete and practical enterprise portals-oriented content management system will bedesigned and realized in the end.
