Research And Analysis On Student Financial Aid Management System Of "Spring Bud Plan" In Kunming Financial And Commercial School

The Spring Buds Project is originated and implemented by the China Child and Youth Foundation. It is a non-governmental philanthropic charity project aimed at helping young girls who either dropped from school to return to school or about to drop from school to stay in school and get educated. Our school has been a willing participant in this charity project since2010and has organized and made significant progress in a project titled "The Spring Buds Project at Kunming School of Finance and Economics."This report will first introduce the research background of the student aid managing system of the Spring Buds Project at our school based upon our managing model of the Spring Buds Project as well as the research on the current managing system and analyses of its applications, followed by the content and focus of this report. We have performed the demand analyses of the financial aid managing system utilizing principles and methods of the software systems. In analyzing the daily operations, we have performed analyses on the existing problems of the original man-operated managing systems, organization structure and the original work flow. Based on these analyses, we have performed revised work flow analyses of the5functional modules using the Visio program. In the functional analyses, we used the Data Flow Diagram (DFD) to define the function of the managing system basing on the data flow and data dictionary. In addition, DFD analyses delineated the overall functional organization structure and the modules of different functions of the system. These functions include modules for application and qualification review and determination, financial aid distribution and utilization, evaluation of the financial aid effect, management of basic information of the student receiving aid, etc. In the data analyses, we analyzed all the data that must be processed by all the functions of the system and reported here the Entity Relationship (E-R) diagram and established a database organization chart. This report was concluded with a summary of the research and analyses on the system and a forward looking statement on what’s coming next for this work.
