Wang Shoujue, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is a scientist of Semiconductor Electronics and Information Science. He is one of the founders of the semiconductor devices and microelectronics technology in China. He served as a researcher in the Institute of Semiconductors and the Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as the heads of The Neural Network with Image Thinking Laboratory and The High Dimensional Bionic Informatics and Application Laboratory. For more than60years engaged in research work, he made an important contribution to our semiconductor electronics and information sciences. In1958, his successfully develop of germanium alloy to the proliferation of high-frequency transistor transistorized high-speed computer applied to the development of our country. From1959to1963, Mr. Wang was in charge of researching silicon planner technology and developed five kinds of silicon planner transistor. In1974, by using the self-made graphics generator automatic plate-making technology, he made into large scale integrated circuit mask edition successfully.In the new circuit of1976, he proposed new multi-valued and continuous high-speed logic circuits-Multiple logic circuits, and tested in the machine. After1979, he mainly engaged in the research of multi-valued and continuous logic circuitry and applied to actual production. Since1990, Wang Shoujue committed to the basic theory and application of artificial neural networks and pattern recognition, machine thinking in images, created on the basis of the multidimensional space bionic informatics, and conducted a series of Beneficial exploration.Throughout WangShouJue’s scientific career, his research direction is changed for several times, quite have harvested accomplishment and characteristics.The purpose of this study lies in the scientific research work of Wang Shoujue, find the innovation work of characteristics and summarize its experience.This article provides an overview of the Wang Shoujue’s family background and growth experience, sorting through his research background and research activities before the end of the "cultural revolution", and focus studies on his work in the fuzzy logic circuits, semiconductor artificial neural network and multi-dimensional space biomimetic informatics after the "cultural revolution", to explore his character and scientific research and innovation the driving force behind the problem.We collect and compare the files and interview data to ensure the research results in line with history. The main researches are as following:First, we have further summarized the family background, growth experience and the early research activities of Mr. Wang. And the research on the content, discusses the influence of the family factors to Wang Shoujue’s growth.Second, this paper introduces WangShouJue’ s research work in detail in recent30years, and makes comparative analysis and evaluation to his research results. This paper discusses the Wang Shoujue’s contribute to the field of artificial intelligence in China.Third, Based on the scientific research activities especially in the field of artificial intelligence research activities for clues of Wang ShouJue since after the "cultural revolution", we want to show the development history in the field of artificial intelligence in our country from one side, can catch a glimpse of the development of artificial intelligence in our country, rich research achievements of modern science and technology history in our country.Fourth, the experience of the academic growth of the old scientist is the precious wealth of our country, is an important part of the history of Chinese science field. This article analyzes the character traits, academic growth experience and the characteristics of innovation activities of Wang Shoujue. Expectations have enlightenment role for the future youth science and technology workers, in order to facilitate them to contribute a big strength in the process of building an innovative country.
