The semi-physical simulation technology is developing rapidly. It has characteristics of improving control precision and efficiency of the simulation. It is widely used in the control system. At present, the cost of semi-physical simulation platform which is widely used at home and abroad is a little expensive, therefore, this paper puts forward scheme of developing the servo system semi-physical simulation platform based on xPC Target which has low cost and short development cycle.The semi-physical simulation platform of xPC Target employs the double computer modes, the host computer communicates with the target compute through Ethernet. The platform consists of the host computer, target machine and the interface card. The host computer generates the model to the codes and the target computer runs the real-time codes. The xPC Target toolbox doesn’t support the PCI-1710 interface card and some other domestic products. For the universality of experimental platform, and providing interface for the target machine and external physical connection, it is particularly important to the operation of the PCI-1710 interface card. In this paper, the device drivers are developed with C MEX S-Function. We research on the preparation method of S-Functions and develop four drivers for interface card of PCI-1710, transform a custom module into a general module, and verify the model respectively. The experimental results prove the feasibility of real-time systems.In this paper, a semi-physical simulation platform experiment is designed based on xPC Target, and through controlling the deviation signal from the two potentiometer voltage signals to realize the function of voltage following in position loop. PID control algorithm is used to adjust the control parameters in the experiments, and to verify the effectiveness of the control system.In the end, the simulation experiments are achieved for the servo system semi-physical simulation platform. The results show that:(1) The semi-physical simulation platform of xPC Target is in normal function and easy to operate.(2) The platform can be operated stably and reliably, and support the development of semi physical simulation technology.(3) The development of the drivers, not only adapt to the future use of new interface card, and effectively solve the data acquisition, information transmission and other problems for the semi physical simulation platform.
