As the Multiple-Input Multiple-Output(MIMO) technology can significantly improve the performance of system, it has received extensive attentions. However, the application of MIMO technology is restricted by the limit of the mobile terminal volume and power. The cooperative communication is mainly formed a virtual MIMO transmission channel through sharing the antenna between users, to get space diversity gain. Cooperative communication can effectively resist multi-path fading impact. This provides a new idea of MIMO technology. The major study of this paper is power allocation and relay selection in cooperative communication systems. The main work is as follows:First of all, this paper discusses the wireless communication network used DF forwarding protocols, and proposes a relay selection mechanism with power allocation and analyzes how to minimize the total power.Secondly, the thesis studies power allocation for decode-and-forward multi-source multi-relay cooperative wireless networks under the constraint of the performance of outage probability. A greedy algorithm with node-exchange is proposed for relay selection to find the minimum transmission power with lower computational complexity. At last, in an AF cooperation communication network, the symbol error rate is set as an objective function to use the differential evolve algorithm to decide the power allocation.
