Laboratory information management system (LIMS) connects laboratory instruments and people involved in the process of test and department through the computer network. By adopting scientific management concepts and advanced database technology, LIMS is able to realize overall management of the whole environment which is centered on the laboratory. At present, there are many separate laboratory information management systems to conduct database management alone. However, there are far less of efficient system of LIMS that can manage experiment information. In order to meet these needs, we design a LIMS to try to manage information more efficiently.This paper studies various modules of the system which includes sample and resource management, business organization, quality control, network management, data management in acquisition, transmission and processing, together with report management, all the modules form a complete set for comprehensive laboratory management and product quality control system, which is a software platform for the lab. This system can not only meet the requirements of daily inspection, data analysis and technical management, but also can guarantee strict management and control for database construction of laboratory.The development of the system is to convert each database into the application object (Entity), to change data fields to attributes (property), to let the relationship becomes combine attributes (association) by using GeneMapper to process generated data table and Entity Framework to abstract data structure. All these implementations are based on realization of the basic user and system management. Such system will enable programmers to operate the database conveniently, realize the gene matching calculation and draw out genetic map, what’s more, by the realization of a series operation from the authorization to the analysis results, it can make the experiment steps more standardized and can avoid the generation of the human error to establish a crime DNA database.
