Array parameters estimation is an important research direction of the array signals processing, and is widely used in the communication, radar and sonar fields. As the development of wireless communication, source positioning becomes more and more popular in recent years, the angle and the time delay is important parameters in source localization, which also results in the great importance of the joint angle-delay estimation in array multiple parameters estimation. This thesis mainly focuses on the joint angle-delay estimation MUSIC algorithm, and proposes an improved algorithm for the drawbacks of the traditional algorithms.Firstly, algorithms for direction of arrival (DOA) estimation in array parameters estimation are introduced, including the traditional MUSIC algorithm, the spatial smoothing algorithm and the MUSIC algorithm in planar array, and the advantages and disadvantages of these algorithms are analyzed based on the simulation.Secondly, the traditional MUSIC algorithm for joint angle-delay estimation is researched and simulated using the MATLAB tools. This algorithm cannot match the angle and delay parameters automatically, since the spectrum peak needs to be searched twice. Therefore, a joint angle-delay estimation two-dimension MUSIC algorithm is presented in this thesis. The proposed algorithm can determine the angle-delay estimation and match the parameters automatically by searching the two-dimension spectrum peak using the space-time information. Moreover, an improved algorithm that introduces the spatial smoothing is proposed to solve the reduced rank of the matrix. Finally, the proposed algorithms are simulated, and the simulations prove that the angle-delay information can be determined precisely even if the space-time stream matrix is not a full column rank matrix.
