An Investigation On The Design Of The Contents Of The Museum Of Local History

According to certain themes, sequence and art forms,exhibitions in museums propagate education, cultural and scientific information based on cultural relics and appropriate auxiliary exhibits within a certain space.Exhibitions on social history, including reginal history exhibitions,mainly show the developing process and the basic clue of a country or a region systematically,or a region’s historical development overview on a historical period.Exhibitions in museums are important ways of inheriting civilization and promoting functions of museums. The goal of exhibitions is to highlight and convey the theme,making the basic functions of museums workable. Today, we pay more attention to the combination of ancient and modern than presenting history only,trying to make conversations with the ancients,for the purpose of make the exhibitions closer to the actual,life and the audience.The contents of the exhibition is a series of information contained in the exhibition,and try to show of it,and the pith of which is contents design.Through the development of contents design on Nanjing museum’s reginal history exhibitions,especially the<Jiangsu Ancient Civilization>exhibition of the new Nanjing museum,this paper analyses its process from vertical analysis:from the <Jiangsu History>exhibition to the<Lower Yangtze Civilization> exhibition,is a explorative breakthrough from comprehensive of vertical layout to specialized of lateral layout,then to the<Jiangsu Ancient Civilization> exhibition,back to the historical period of development as the main line,and according to the arrangement of exhibits and reginal feature,each unit layouts several subordinate line.Each exhibition has its feature; And from horizontal comparison,it analyses some other contents designs on reginal history exhibitions in museums of China.It focuses on prospect of contents design on reginal history exhibitions in China---mainly from the select and use of the theme,system,exhibits and assistant exhibits,the revelation of reginal feature.
