With the development of digital TV industry and CMOS technology, the TV tuner system has gained widely attention and deeply research.In this thesis, we research the mixer used for DTV system. First, the thesis introduces the structure of the DTV tuner and the specification of the mixer in the system. Next, the thesis introduces the theory of mixer design and optimize. Based on these, the thesis analysis the double quadrature mixer and validate the design by emulator.In the part of theory analysis, the thesis uses the complex signal analysis method. First, the thesis introduces the complex signal and the analysis method, Next, the thesis analyses the polyphase filter and double quadrature mixer use the complex signal analysis method. This method makes the analysis simple and comprehensible. Also, the thesis uses the real signal analysis to validate the complex signal analysis method.In the part of circuit design, the practical circuits include RF polyphase filter, double quadrature mixer, IF polyphase filter are exhaustively discussed. The power, area, noise figure, linearity are the primary side to chose the circuit. Mainly, the thesis also analyses the influence of the image rejection by manufacture warp.In general, the thesis discusses the method and complete procedure from system parameter design to circuits design for double quadrature mixer and polyphse filter. The optimization method for image rejection is discussed, which is the good reference for further research.
