Nowadays, the chain supermarket industry is under intense competition. How to increase the shares of market and reduce the business operation cost are very important to the enterprise's benefits growth. Hualian Supermarket Shanghai Co. Ltd. is one of the most famous chain retail enterprises in China, and owns thousands of standard supermarkets. However, it has some problems in order management. Every supermarket in retail channel still uses the traditional order management mode, called "human forecast", which causes the insufficient information exchange between the stock of distribution centre and the sales of supermarkets, and then it results in lots of commodities overstock. In the orders processing process, from originally created in retail channels to distribution centre system, every order should go through many heterogeneous systems. The ability of sharing information among those systems is poor and the data exchange efficiency is low. So it is necessary to develop an order management platform to build modem supply chain management mode, improve the turnover rate of commodity, and optimize the structure of the stock.First of all, the current situation and issues of Shanghai Hualian Supermarket order management platform are analyzed, and it is certain that there is necessary to develop a new Shanghai Hualian Supermarket Order Services Platform based on Web Services. Based on these analyses, the main functions such as order main data management, B2B order integration management, order subsidiary management and core processes such as creating a new commodity, handling B2B order, collecting key data for automatic replenishment of Supermarket Order Services Platform are discussed. Then the network and system architecture of the platform is designed and the core subsystems such as order main data management and replenishment management in retail channel are designed and implemented in detail. The integration between the platform and B2B E-commerce system is the most important subsystem to be discussed, like latest stock distribution and customers ordering goods and order status tracking. Finally, it is concluded that the deficiency and the perspective of Shanghai Hualian Supermarket Order Services Platform.
