The integration of electronic commerce and mobile technology has contributed to the fast development of Mobile Commerce, which is often referred to as M-Commerce. M-Commerce has become a new shining branch of E-Commerce because of its fast, convenient and accessibility. However, it's very hard for an enterprise to satisfy its all customers, because of the failure of the integration of M-Commerce with its traditional counterpart and tardiness of the construction of national-wide information infrastructures. The same problems also applied to the market exploration and workflow. To solve these problems, a dynamic integrated M-Commerce system is proposed in this paper. It can run across heterogeneous networks, multiple enterprises, and be accessed from a variety of different mobile devices.(1) The M-Commerce platform is based on web services, portlet and XML message flow. It supports the dynamic integration, is easy to expand, and can be accessed from different mobile devices, such as WAP browser, PDA, mobile device with J2ME/BREW, or web browser.(2) The M-Commerce platform uses a message path finding algorithm to create a message queue in XML message engine for routing. The MDR is expanded, and a mediator is introduced between the source and destination to form a workflow based on web services.(3) For a better explanation, the mobile portal of Qingdao is presented as a practical implementation of this solution. The detailed design of the whole system and implementations of some central sub-systems are included.
