PDM (Product data management) technology as the core component of enterprise information,has become one indicator that measures weather a enterprise could win in the fierce competition or not. For the small and medium-sized enterprises, it has become a key task that is how to improve the business efficiency and reduce cost.By researching the present situation of PDM, SOA (Service-oriented architecture) system and the small and medium-sized enterprises, proposed PDM system architecture that take the SOA framework as the foundation, combing with a variety of ideas and Web technologies. Existing data complex and process stiffness for the PDM system, enterprise information circulation stagnation, Enterprise dealing with ability is weak and the enterprise system in the implementation process the cyclical long characteristic, the philosophy that service as the core and product as the base is put forward. System framework has been built with Visual Studio and SQL Server, where SOA theory and Web technology are applied. By adopting the iterative development method, it realizes the goal and the function of the PDM system, and promotes the enterprise's coping ability, shortens the system's implementation cycle and provides solution of the information system for small and medium-sized enterprises at the same time. The researching and the realizing of the PDM system based on SOA have very important theoretical and practical significance for small and medium-sized enterprise.The main research aspects are listed as follows:1. It studies the system structure of SOA and the realizing technology Web Services. By finding out the characteristics and the key of operation, also combining the goals and functions of the PDM system, in order to solve data complex and process stiffness, proposed that the functions of system requires are defined as services and assemble services to realize process, using Web technology and news mode and also realizing the service loose coupling and reusability. In application, it must follow of the characteristics of SOA service.2. According to the enterprise and user's demand, has custom-made the granularity different service, through the SOAP (Service Object Access Protocol) technology to encapsulate releasing, using BPEL (Business Process Execution Language) technology to assemble flexibly of the services. In order to strengthen the data management and improve the information exchange capacity, the platform was built by using the ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) that with service features.3. In order to improve the data transfer efficiency and personnel exchanges, it introduces a team concept and a news mode, reaching a balance management and relatively free run mode.4. In the process of the development, combining the situation of the small and medium-sized enterprises, adopting iterative development mode, reduce the cost and risk of the successful implementation for information.
