The grinding is the important process in the metallurgical industry field ,and is also one of the important segment in the Mineral processing.But in grinding process , the mechanism is very complex, a lot of influencing factors ,and in the process there are changes with time, multivariate, time delay and nonlinear features. Therefore, on grinding process of system analysis, and getting the mathematical model in order to good process control, is the focus of the workers and scientific research personnels.This paper is based on one of the mineral processing plant,and the paper combines with automation technology, computer technology, communication and detection technology, carryed out Related research and design of the electric control system, PLC and PC control procedures.In the article, the traditional control method of grinding machine can't get appropriate effect,on the ore quantity, grinding concentration and grinding classification process.For the above reasons, the author puts forward two ideas based on the advanced control techique: (1)in grinding control process,the fuzzy control is used in the system, by detected the mill electrical flow gets the grinding situation, and gets approprate ore quantity.And the algorithm is used to overcome the disadvantage such as time-varying and delay.The way further improves shortcomings of the traditional PID control method. (2)The ore pulp is graded in hydrocyclone.In the classification process,because the mathematical model can't be built, the coupled parameters such as level of slag basin, the flow of hydrocyclone and the density of ore pulp are coordinated by a coordinated controlprogram. The dynamic matrix control(DMC) regulated all the parameters.The grinding control system is composed of the IPC,the siemens PLC S7 315-2DP,Various actuators in field and all the Measurement instruments,ect.The system uses profibus and industrial ethernet technology, builts a network of control. The software design of system includes PC monitoring system program and PLC(S7 315-2DP PLC) control program. Through all the process and the grinding control system requirements analysis, the system adopts STEP 7 V5.4 programming software ,using "structured programming" ideas, put different sub-program into different function modules, realized the control of grinding. Using WINCC6.0 Configuration Software achieved the system control monitoring and management.
