Track and field competition plays an important role in the competitive sports. Schools at all levels held at least one track sport event every year. However, The organization of track sport events is an intricate social work and systematic engineering. In every track and field game, a lot of staff have to prepare in advance the tedious, redundant work, such as registration, scheduling and so on. During the competition, many game results have to be collected and summarized, and after the game the score-lists, data -processing and proof-reading also have to be worked out in time. These work not only wastes a lot of manpower, material and financial resources, but also is liable to error. Simultaneously, it is very difficult to completely accomplish all the work in a large-scale sport meeting by hand. At present all schools have established a campus network and have access to the Internet. Track sports meeting management system based on campus-network platform can succeed in processing the information fast, efficiently and convenientlyTrack sports meeting management system based on campus-network platform includes the distribution management system of user rights, competition rules management, registration information management, both scheduling and tabulation management before the game, score management in the sports meeting, bulletin management and system management. Based on B/S mode, the system is designed by the three-layer structure. The in-depth researches on school sports meeting and business process analyses have been done on the basis of the law of software engineering. Hence, from the aspects such as requirement analysis, whole design, database design, functional design and so on, a comprehensive exposition of the analysis and design process for Track sports meeting management system. was done in this thesis.In the system development and design process, the key technologies and the corresponding solutions are following:(1) Use intelligent management, fully making the competitions customized.(2) Connect Word and Excel seamlessly, greatly improving the operability of the software; (3) Adopt the recursive algorithm in order to generate the menu automatically, facilitating the authority management;(4) Design the pages by using CSS technology, achieving the friendly and beautiful graphical interfaces;(5) Make the competitions informationization, achieving full process control, automatic statistics and print, and the publishing of all information through the Bulletin ;(6) Use background database technology to backup and restore, ensuring data security;(7) Setup user authority by defining the role, facilitating user's access control.By using Microsoft's development tool—Visual Studio.NET 2008 and the advanced technologies, such as C#.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, SQL Server 2005 database, the system has achieved the expected goal in the practical operation ,meeting the needs of the customers.
