With the development of information technology, computer has been widely used in the field of education. As an important branch of the field, computer-assisted assessment is being adopted by a growing number of schools and enterprises. It reduces labor costs efficiently, at the same time it can reduce the probability of making mistake by human. Computer-assisted assessment system requires two main functions, one is that it can be used to test the learner current level of mastery of knowledge; the other is to analysis the learner's learning information such as the weak links according to the test.Firstly, Bloom's Taxonomy of Educational Objectives Model and its role in cognitive assessment domain are systematically described in the dissertation and then concept map is introduced as the cognitive assessment tool. The higher cognitive level of Bloom's taxonomy could not be assessed by the conventional assessment system, or the one which applied to the field demands more complex structure and its application scope is too narrow. Therefore, the dissertation offers a reasonable solution which is a computer-assisted assessment system based on concept map. Then composition model and assessment strategy using concept map are presented detailedly. The concept mapping approach offers reasonable balance between requirements to assess higher levels of knowledge and complexity of an assessment system. The cognitive degree of the learner to knowledge and their relationships can be tested by different assessment tasks based on concept maps. The adaptivity is reflected in that the system can automatically calculate the learner's level and adapts assessment tasks to her ability according to the learner's study state in recent time after the comprehensive assessment.Based on the above discussion, this dissertation analyses comprehensively the requirements of the assessment system based on concept map which meets the Bloom's taxonomy, and designs its each functional logic modules in detail. Then the implementation flow, its advantages and disadvantages of Similarity Flooding algorithm which is usually used in knowledge map at present are described detailedly. Combining features of the system, using the greedy algorithm to complete mapping of the filter. To make up for lack of the algorithm, a complementary algorithm is putted forward, which can make the system has more efficiency in response to the different level concept maps. In addition, these questions, such as how to save data about the learners and how to construct the map are also taken into account.Through the implementation of the system not only shows the assessment system based on concept map which meets the Bloom's taxonomy can assess the higher level in the Bloom's taxonomy, but also shows the system has a relative simple structure and what's more, it can effectively solve the conflict between the traditional computer-assisted assessment system and the special one.
