Nowadays, with the rapid development of technology, the target of microwave filters in the microwave and millimeter-wave satellite communication system becomes higher, which gives new challenges for the design of microwave filters. So conducting the research the higher target, lower cost, smaller size of microwave filters for the next generation microwave wireless and satellite communication systems which has great significance. This thesis aims to research the above objective, focus on the waveguide filters miniaturization.First, the thesis summarizes the miniaturization related technologies of waveguide filters at home and abroad and the related theories.Second, the thesis analyzes the single resonant of uniform structure and the T-shaped structure. Then we design two waveguide filters based on uniform structure and T-shaped structure under the demanding of the thesis.Then, we base on the equivalent circuit model of the capacitance-loaded to study in-depth the realization of capacitance-loaded structure and propose a new type of capacitance-loading:M-shaped capacitance-loaded technology. In the same requirements, we use the technology to design a waveguide filter, the total length of which reduces by 14.25% and 6.91% respectively, compared with the length of the uniform structure filter and the T-shaped structure filter. So we achieve the reacher targer for further mininaturizing the filter.Finally, we manufacture the M-shaped capacitance-loaded filter and test it. The result of the test is agreement with the simulation results.
