As information technology develops, the daily business activities rely on information systems more and more. However, as the enterprise culture, systems, organizational forms, business methods vary, they can be changed as time goes by with the development of enterprises. Therefore, it is very difficult to create a universal, common management information system, and they have to change as the actual business changes. This phenomenon is particularly obvious in IT industry. The diversity of the customer requirements, customization and continuous changing are common in software development, which requires software development management to meet customer demand, application technology and team collaboration etc. so that information system development is able to keep a low cost in high efficiency by flexible . Obviously, the traditional software engineering theory is being challenged increasingly. In the last few years, the agile software development rise rapidly for its small programming, easy changing and rapid delivery.In the practice of agile development, the popular methods are: XP, Scrum, Crystal and FDD etc. This kind of method focuses on the significance of human during software development processes, and pays attention to enhance the potential of individuals, as well as interaction and collaboration and available results.The author, based on the actual situation of a company where he works, explores how to apply agile development methods to the MIS information system development, and carry out researches on the basis of past work on agile development methods, as well as practice in the real-world projects. The main contents are:(1) Analyze the application of agile development methods in software development processes in small-and-medium-sized team.(2) Author and his team members, during the implementation process of a new MIS project, made a meaningful improvement to the practice of agile development methods, in order meet the needs of team development.(3) Develop an integrated management system with configuration management, continuous integration and automatic testing functions to MIS system, providing a strong support for the whole development processes.
