Remote sensing is the most direct way of obtaining the information of the ground, and is one of the main methods of updating national spatial data base. Since the remote sensing technology began to develop in China, it has been widely used in many fields such as basic geographic information acquisition, land monitoring, environmental monitoring, emergency disaster relief and etc. With the development of microelectronic technology, intelligent technology, digital technology, modular technology and electronic integration technology, they have greatly promoted the development of aerial remote sensing system in the worldwide.Airborne remote sensing platform is flexible, mobile and security with high resolution images, short cycle, and convenient data recovery and so on. To get high resolution aircraft remote sensing images in a relatively short period of time has become a hot research at home and abroad, especially the unmanned aircraft remote sensing system developed in the nineties. It has many advantages which remote sensing technology can not afford, and has become an effective supplementary way for satellite remote sensing.The low altitude UAV remote sensing system combing unmanned vehicle which has a series of advantages such as flexibility, security with general digital cameras has great advantages. But on the other hand the instability of UAV platforms and the big distortion and small image pieces bring a lot of difficulties to the data processing.The advantages of airborne remote sensing platform promotes rapid development of all kinds of airborne remote sensing platforms, however, airborne remote sensing system is sensitive to the flight environment and climate. The changes of various environments and conditions will be reflected in the quality of the images eventually. Image quality directly affect the final outcome of the measurement accuracy, therefore, it is important to check the flight quality of remote sensing system when the job has been completed.Considering the airborne remote sensing system obtaining a large amount image data with poor posture stability, the paper completes automatic flight quality inspection of the low-altitude airborne remote sensing system through extracting image feature points by SIFT algorithm,that is calculating the rotation angle and overlapping degree between images of the surveyed areas; and then complete quick images mosaic; finally compare them with orthophotos produced by aerial triangulation with LPS for accuracy comparison, which verified rapid splicing images can meet the needs of non-mapping without absolute accuracy requirement, but to make low-altitude airborne remote sensing real orthophotos needs further research.
