Based On Research And Development Of J2ee Technology-based Support System Monitoring Module

Background Business Supporting Departments of Telecommunication operators manage a large number of network equipment and operation supporting systems in various complicated forms. Especially in recent years, the fast development of telecommunication business, as well as constant development of various value added business, lead to dramatic increase of application systems. How to well manage various applications systems, and well monitor, maintain and shoot troubles for them has been an important subject for study.This thesis mainly studies on the integrated monitoring of various software and hardware modules in the background supporting system of telecommunication operators; studies on how to timely discover failures, correctly handle failures, fast eliminate failures and to guarantee stable operation of the systems to maximum extent through monitoring on performance, failure and repair of a series of resources such as the net, the hardware equipment, host and the hardware system as well as various system software and application systems.The aim of this thesis is to, through research and development, design a set of system which is capable of monitoring the whole net. The system may be divided into three parts: first is to provide the management terminal for the two administrators operation platforms; second is to provide agents for real time data acquisition and processing; third is to provide SMS sending and receiving service. The design of the entire software system follows the best practice of J2EE (Core J2EE Patterns), with combination of modularization and hierarchical structure. The monitoring platform management terminal and the SMS platform management platform are based on B/S (browser/server) structure, and adopt J2EE for architecture. Web server uses Redhat Linux AS4 Operation System. The agents, on basis of Multi-agent technology and integration of several advanced intelligent information system management technologies such as JMX, SNMP, JESS, JADE etc., may realize self-operation, self-management and self-repair of the system.
