Flow Of The Flow Of People And Culture

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, mass migration became an important social phenomenon. At present, migration exists from abnormal phenomenon to normal phenomenon. Migration is the man's migration; the main reason of cultural flow is human, and these cultures belong to human; so, there is inevitable relation between migration and cultural flow. Inhabiting on the frontier, minorities experience the same migration situation: a lot of minorities leave their hometown, from villages to cities year after year. Focusing on cultural communication and culture change, this thesis will reflect follow question: why minorities want to migrate from their villages? What changes do villagers and their village for migration? What influences for their cognitive ability and self-awareness construction because of working and migrating experience? How much extent do villages change for migration? And how do they choose the culture?This thesis selects Songziyuan village in Tanhua township, Dayao county, Yunnan province to field work, which is a typical community for Yi people and reflect rich Yi people's cultures. In author's six times of filed works, there are many changes happening in the migration. The process of migration is the process of cultural communication; and the process of cultural communication is the process of cultural accumulation; at last, when cultural accumulation develops to the certain quantitative changes and qualitative changes, cultures must change. Just as Worrying about"the end of farmer", many crepehangers regard the village cultures will be end. Though the researches of Songziyuan village, the capabilities of re-creation and regeneration can not reduce; and the interaction from internal force and outside force will take the new cultural life force; and new cultures which adapt village will not be distinguished"traditional"and"modern"by villagers. The author has the new comprehension to"cultures are life": in the history, minorities choose the life, not the culture regarded by cultural luminaries.
