The construction of "double functional" teacher ranks has become the stress and difficulty as well of vocational education development. Since it was put forward as a new concept in 1990's, "double functional" teacher rate had become the guideline when evaluating the running level of an advanced vocational college.There are many literatures studying "double functional" teachers at present but few of them have given a clear and specific standard of its concept, connotation, authentication standard and cultivation. It seems that the academic research on "double functional" teacher is running into a wrong direction.This article started from arranging the current literatures on "double functional" teacher research and gave a full and systemic analysis to the inappropriate appearances and the cause of it. The author also gave some strategies of avoiding the research going wrong hoping this can stop the researchers from the wrong way.It is required by the thinking mode of "problems -tentative solutions - removement of mistakes - new problems",the status quo of "double functional" teacher academic research, the enternal contradictions and confusions of system info as well as the surveillant fuction of "double functional" teacher academic research that we should conduct the research. The main mistakes in researches on the concept of "double functional" teacher are: too much administrative color, the positive effects of "double functional" teacher research is factitiously aggrandized and the concept itself is unscientific. The main mistakes in researches on the connotation are: confused the concept of "double functional" teacher with "double-titled" teacher, "double-certified" teacher, "double-origin" teacher and " double-qulity" teacher. The main mistakes in researches on the the authentication standard are: unable to carry out the conditions and simply pile up. The main mistakes in researches on the the cultivation of teachers are: the degradation of college cultivation, social indraught and plurality as well as the mistake of looking for the subs. Seeking the root, we can find that there are two cores: the original lack, which is caused by modern spirit atmosphere and the unconsiousness of the problems; and the out-of-joint between theory and practice, which is caused by the political tendency in research, unbalance of the research main body and the traditional thinking mode. Therefore, we should sparkplug coorperation and communication and cultivate the imagnation of the research main body, enhance the "problem-consiousness", give power to the practicers and regard the evaluation, spreading and extending of the research fruits so as to walk out from the mistakes.In the tag, the author recapitulated the clou and the main ideas of this article and brought forward the innovative spots and issues in following researches.
