| Teachers are the engineers of human souls,who engage in the most glorious profession.They are the symbol of great virtue and learning and the embodiment of truth,beauty and goodness.They care little for fame and fortune while shoulder the burden of training people as the builders and disseminators of socialist spirits,whose job has deep influence for generations.The requirements of moral qualities for a teacher are higher than other professions because of its noble profession and great responsibility.Just as Comenius,a Czech educationalist says "Teachers should be the excellent people of high morality".However,with the rapid development of socialist market economy,there have been many changes in people's concepts and value orientation.Accordingly,discordant factors emerge among the teachers.Therefore,the author conducts an investigation about the situation of rural primary and secondary school teachers' professional ethic.Results show that generally speaking,they have good professional ethic and make great contributions to the rural education.But there exist the phenomena of absence of mooral values at the same time.For instance,some teachers are slack in teaching and lack of spirit of devotion to work and even have part-time jobs. Some teachers give students corporal punishment and insult.Some lack the spirit of collectivism and cooperation and seldom keep in touch with students' parents.These phenomena not only impair the image and reputation of a teacher,but also influence the healthy development of teaching.So at present,much importance should be attached to develop teachers' realization of the importance of moral construction and improve the awareness and initiative of teachers' moral cultivation,which is the necessity for teachers to perfect themselves as well as the necessity to develop teaching,foster people and build a new socialist countryside.It is significant to analyze the situation of rural primary and secondary school teachers' professional ethic' absence and explore a constructive way to solve it according to the special condition of our own country. The thesis is composed of three parts.The first part involves the connotation of the professional ethic and teachers' professional ethic and analyzing the current situation of rural primary and secondary school teachers' professional ethic.In addition,the author makes a deep analysis about the phenomena of the absence of their professional ethic.The reasons for the absence of rural primary and secondary school teachers' professional ethic are analyzed from individuals,schools,poor management of educational administrative departments and society,which are included in part two.Part three covers the author's suggestions based on the analysis of the reasons for the absence of rural primary and secondary school teachers' professional ethic and the exploration of means to enhance teachers' moral construction.These suggestions are analyzed from three aspects:firstly,strengthen the cultivation of teachers' professional ethic;secondly,perfect the internal environment of the schools; thirdly,build harmonious social surroundings for teachers' professional ethic construction. |
