On the present campus, with various cultures mutually colliding, although mainstream is still the "dinner" of the college students, non-dominant culture as a snack also arouses great attention of the college students. It increasingly erodes the result of mainstream education, directly affecting college students' growth, especially the form of their world outlook, the outlook on life and the values. College student non-dominant culture, relative to the mainstream culture, is a sub-culture created by the college students, which is separate from the college spirit, discipline and mainstream. The non-dominant culture, characterized by casualness, non-systematicity and irregularity, is an overt culture greatly affecting the college students' way of thinking, behavior standard and way of act. The study of college students' on-dominant culture is of great practical significance for thinking their ideological and political work in a new angle of view.On the basis of investigation and visit, this paper take X College of Sichuan Province as an example to conclude and analyze the college student non-dominant culture phenomenon as well as study the negative effect that non-dominant culture has on the college students' learning, living and thinking. In terms of learning, non-dominant culture makes their learning aim utilitarian, way of learning network, attitude to learning idle and motivation to learning not strong. In terms of living, it makes them form negative attitude toward life, brings them degrading communication ability and leads to the distortion of consumption concept. In terms of thinking, it makes them have weaker moral consciousness, lose self-identity, confound right and wrong and strengthen psychological stress. As far as the reason is concerned, objectively, the effects majorly come from the social macro level and college middle-cosmic level; Subjectively, the effects come from their own micro level; In terms of social macro level, affected by social politics, economy and culture factors, with the growing social change, economy globalization brings multi-culture. Under the impulsion of mass culture and Web-culture, the college students growing environment has changed greatly. In terms of college middle-cosmic level, affected by material conditions, system situation and school spirit, with the continuous deepening of educational system reform, the college enrollment and employment system sees new change. Faced with the immature conditions of running college and imperfect system construction after the enrollment expansion, the colleges have not yet form their own spirit culture, thus the impact of mainstream culture on college students is gradually weakened. In terms of their own micro level, affected by growing experience, psychology characters and employment concept, the contemporary college students have different psychological characteristics for their unique growing experience and social employment pressure: strengthened independence consciousness, strong social needs, strong thirst for knowledge and high self expectation. Such factors make college non-dominant culture become more and more popular on campus and the impact on students is becoming stronger and stronger.The key of conducting college non-dominant culture lies in: Carrying forward university spirit and fostering college students' noble personality; bring cultivating people with culture into play, strengthen the guiding function of mainstream culture; perfecting rules and regulations and establishing effective restraint mechanism; taking students as root and building appropriate campus atmosphere; playing the role of peer education and strengthen self-conduction; reasonably easing students and perfecting consultation service system; learning to choose and improving students' discrimination ability...
