Since the opening and reforming, splendid achievements have been acquired in our country's elementary education and curriculum constructing. But the general level of our country's elementary education is not high and the original setup of it does not adapt to the necessity of the ages' development any longer. To implement The resolution about Carrying out Educational Reform and Quality-oriented Education Further of the state Council of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of china and The resolution about elementary education's development and reforming of state department, Education Ministry decided to carry out the reformation vigorously, adjust and reform the setup, structure and contents . Construct a new setup of elementary educational curriculums, which adapts to the necessity of quality education. Therefore, the 8th reformation of elementary educational curriculums in our country is starting up formally in September of 2001.Educational assessment is an important field of educational research, which always has direct guidance to teaching, so it is always the point to be pierced into for educational reformation. Reform the theory and methods of assessment in the background of examination-preparide education. Establish a new appraising system that can boost the full development both teachers and students is the very purpose of this reformation. As students are the main body of education, studying assessment come to be the core of Educational Assessment, which is highly appreciated. As an important part of school education, P.E education is not only the important part of quality-oriented education but also the important method of quality-oriented education.The thesis takes the situations that carry out new P.E. Studying Assessment in some senior middle school of Shaanxi province.For example , discusseds the question of how to establish a systemic assessment setup that can boost the full development of students. The thesis includes five sections mostly.First section: Introduction. It gives the studying purpose and meaning of this thesis. In addition, the general situation of Studying Assessment of RE. is discussed.Second section: Literature Review.Retrospect of P.E. Studying Assessment since new China is established. This part studies the developing course of RE. Studying Assessment in junior middle school since new China is established by methods of literature and data.Summarizing the understanding and the appraisal of regional scholar about RE and Health Curriculum for five years, recognizing the the success and failure of P.E and Health Curriculum.Third section: Object of study and method. Investigating the situations of carrying out new curriculum in Shaanxi.The thesis studies 102 senior middle schools of 10 cities in Shaanxi province with methods of investigating on-the-spot,experts interviewing,questionnaires,statistics to know the detail of implentments of the curriculm in Shaanxi province.Fourth section: Result and anylise. The assessing logos Though the appraisal idea of new course has already been approved by educators to a certain extent, because of the limitations of objective condition in every area, appraising the requirement can not be totally marked according to the lesson.Fifth section:Conclusion.Since the course "physical culture"is in a subordinate position,the course physical culture and health has been in debate since it was put into practise five years ago.The immature objective conditions have limited the learning evalution enforcements.At the same time,there exists problems in the design of the new course.Some standards cannot be carried out quantitatively,which also sharpened the present situation where the enforcement of the learning evaluation is unfavourable.Thanks to the vast numbers of the grass-roots PE instructors'efforts,a method of operation that is suitable for the reality of the locality and our schools as been created,the learning evaluation system has been perfected,and the intention of the learning evaluation enforcement has been enriched.Sixth section:Advices about the practise of the new evaluation sustem.Hope everyone (?)can pay attention to the practise of the new evaluation system of the sutdents' learning about the physical culture and health course,and provide safefuard of regulation,manpower and material resources.The principal parts like the education administrators,PE instructors, students andparents ought to change their conceptions,improve their own qualities and give active cooperation to the practise of the new course evaluation system.Besides,the local schools should try their best to accumulate funds on the basis of relying on their own efforts in order to increase their input.Also,they can cany out the new evaluation concepts by means of "forming reciprocal relations"and "resource sharing"with departments who have good basis and rich resources such as colleges and physical culture administrative departments.
